Dr. Ira Diamond - Shoes for the Homeless

June 19, 2018
Dr. Ira Diamond is a podiatrist who has been treating homeless individuals and those in need for over 25 years in the Greater Los Angeles area. Throughout his career, he has seen the many types of foot problems that develop when individuals have inadequate shoes or no shoes at all. Dr. Diamond began collecting and distributing shoes informally early in his career; in 2011 he officially founded SHOES FOR THE HOMELESS, Inc. Shoes for the Homeless (SFTH) is a non-denominational, non-profit/501(c)(3) organization that collects, processes, and distributes shoes, free of charge, to the homeless and those in need. With their partners, SFTH is working to create a future in which every man, woman, and child has the tools and confidence to take the next step in their lives. Do you have extra shoes crowding your closet floor or tucked away in bags or boxes? Give them a new home! Check out the different opportunities for community involvement and action! https://www.shoesforthehomeless.net
